On Sunday, March 28, i moseyed over to phloe's little penthouse in Boyle Heights. she invited me to do a painting session with Hiep from Circle Painting. i didn't know what to expect. i just know that a bunch of us are going to be finishing up some paintings that were incomplete from this year's Chinatown Nite and Day Festival due to the rain.



i think it is an amazing experience because here you are with 9 different people and you're working together in silence, but being aware with your breath and those around you.




well let me tell you, i have seen pics of circle paintings done by kids and some by artists, and the ones by kids are FAR more interesting because THERE WERE NO EGO INVOLVED! it's just fun and free.




but what we did was not so bad. it will be featured in a gallery during June's Chinatown Art walk =)
