ain't this lovely
after pouting about the changes in art direction with our company's calendar project, my boss switched it up again and made me smile by telling me that we have wednesday to monday off. goodness gracious, hallelujah!

which basically means, i shall be working on my OTHER art projects!!!

it's dj's bday
i think i am going to treat myself with a day in the spa. it's dj's bday and don gave her a gift certificate to burke williams spa. i don't underestimate the power of a massage. we are all stressed. we constantly are pumping adrenaline to our systems on the daily. it also does not help that we are addicted to stimulants such as caffiene, nicotene, sugar, etc.

if you think about it, the prime function of adrenaline is to provide a short burst of energy when we need it most. this would be the fight or flight theory. in our biological history, when we are frightened or aggravated, we as animals would either stay and fight for survival or run the eff outta dodge. hence, the short burst of energy, the adrenaline.

but in today's society, we don't do that. our high stress jobs, traffic, busy schedules, poor eating and sleeping habits forces our body to pump some kind of energy for us to keep going- adrenaline. but we don't fight, nor to we run. we just sit and stew in our own juices. adrenaline running in our bodies, artificial stimulants running in our bodies.think about it, that is alot of toxins.

toxins in our bodies, damaging our internal organs.

so treat yourself to a massage; its not self indulgence; its holistic health. find a reputable massage therapist and give yourself that. you can take it a step further and look into a holistic healer. i prefer thai massage, shiatsu, hilots, deep tissue, and lymphatic drainage (be careful and make sure you find a reputable therapist. they will be dealing with your brain chemicals.)

other things you can do to release toxins
- work out at least three times a day
- soak in a hot bath with SEA SALTS at least once a week. you can add your favorite oils such as chamomile (good for ezcema), lavendar (relaxing), or rosemary and peppermint (rejuvenating)
- drink 10 glasses of water. add a glass more for every alcoholic or caffienated drink you consume
- mix pomegranate juice (blood purifier) and aloe juice (immune system and cleans toxins). drink a glass of water 30 mins you drink the juice mix
- SLEEP!!! GET ENOUGH SLEEP!
- give yourself a massage with sesame seed oil after your morning or evening shower. pay close attention to your hands and feet.

if you have any other suggestions, let me know!
