i have been cool for awhile now. but i had to hold on the feelings just long enough to finish this painting. it was my way of letting him go. the alibata in the middle of the flames means "umakyat" which is a tribute to my mom's maiden name which is asuncion. but also, it means "to rise", which we all will be doing anyways... rising.

this is how i deal with a broken heart
