okay, so a kid goes up to his mom at the mall and hands her a package of sleeveless undershirts and said “mom, I need these wifebeaters.”

since when as a society did we actually accept this term as being appropriate? Wife-beater. that word slips through our lips on the daily like it is nothing. wife-beater. Well, how about if we think this… some where, at this time, is a woman who is being abused by her husband or boyfriend. With each thudding blow that throws her head back, with each snapping sound of the belt that welts her back, with each scream of “stop!” echoing the halls where others fall def to- “wife beater” is the word that resonates her mind, leaving colloid scars to thick to tend to.

Is saying “tank tops” not manly enough?
