janet's boob issue- expanded
i wish people would stop talking about the issue already. ok, she showed a nipple. a nipple from a camera that was yards away from her. would it be a problem if it was a pasty?

the problem is not her showing a boob. granted, i said it was tacky in a sense that i didn't think she needed to do that because she was a talented entertainer. i didn't expect it from her and i don't think she needed shock value to entertain us. (side note: personally, the whole damn half time show as boring. all of them sucked ass except janet's dancers but they were doing choreography from the last ten years of janet's career.)

what i find problematic is not her nipple but how justin ripped her bustier off. do people not find that offensive? this show of aggressive heterosexualism, where a man ripped a part of a woman's clothing to expose herself, and then that women stands there vulnerable? that is considered sexist, no? it would be different if she took off her clothing herself and stood there in a bra, all triumphant and shit. better yet, what if she ripped off his pants and justin stands there with a thong? would that be offensive?

why does it revolve around her exposing nipple for a nanosecond?
